How To Correct Your Posture

Back at school you were probably told by your teacher to “sit up straight” and stop slouching in your chair – in other words, they were telling you to correct your posture. And you probably did, at least until their back was turned.

Now you realize that they were almost certainly right to nag you.

But what can you do to correct your posture?

After all, years of habit mean you’re slouched more than you’d like to be.

And correct posture applies all the time – whether you’re sitting, standing. walking or whatever.

Trouble is, remembering to sit or stand or walk correctly is a pain. You’ll remember for a while, then forget again. So half the time (or more), your posture isn’t as good as it could be.

The good news is that hypnosis can help you to improve your posture without you having to think “am I doing this right” all the time.

It will help you to have the correct posture wherever and whenever you need to. Without the hassle of having to always think about it.

Hypnosis will work with your subconscious mind and install a new habit – the habit of correct posture – while you go on with your daily life.

    Hello

I am really interested in your work and i would really like to hear from you.
I am a current chiropractic student at the AECC in Bournemouth and I am interested in making a research on hypnotherapy for my dissertation, and your opinion would be really appreciated. I will also start my hypnotherapy course on hypnotherapy this January.

I want to test whether hypnosis using visualisation techniques can have an effect on people’s posture. Since a lot of people suffering from muscle imbalances have wrong sitting and studying postures, if hypnosis is a way of correcting posture this would be really great.

I would like to hear your opinion and if you think this hypothesis has a chance of being proven correct, and maybe if you have any guidance on any journals or books to read.

Thank you very much in advance

I am a registed hypnotist. I became one to improve my habits such as smoking, going to sleep and help myself to relax. I did this about 15 years ago and I have not used my skills much anymore. However to help you this did get me to quit smoking completly and not to gain weight which was my main goal. I came across this article as I am in my mid 60ies and have had RA for 26 years and I noticed lately my posture has become poor. I have let my back relax and I see myself in the mirrow and think I am a beautiful woman and could be so much better correcting my posture. So, in saying this I am going back to my skills and I have know doubt it will help me. The mind is a tricky thing and hypnosis is certainly in my opinion one of the best things to keep your mind in tack. Wish you well !
