Fear of Computers: How to stop being afraid of technology

They’re often presented as monsters in movies, such as the all-seeing HAL in 2001, but most of the time computers should – at least in theory – be non-threatening.

OK, they may trash everything you’ve ever saved when the hard disk stops working. And they almost always take too long to find things (especially when you’re on the phone, frantically searching).

But are computers really something you need to have on your personal “I’m afraid of this” list?

And if they’re on that list, is there anything you can do about it?

Your fear of computers may be rational. Maybe you’ve been at the wrong end of a computer that’s got too possessive about the files you’ve stored. Or maybe it seems that every time you try to do something on your computer, it gets the better of you (that’s not the computer – blame the software!).

Nowadays, computers are everywhere. In your cell phone, DVD recorder, washing machine, everywhere. Your automobile couldn’t get you from A to B without the things.

So you need to overcome your computer phobia and start to get control of this technology. Or at least stop it getting the better of you before you consign it to the trash.

Hypnosis will help a lot towards vanquishing your fear of computers. It won’t stop these machines misbehaving (that’s asking way too much of technology) but it will help rationalize your fear and let you get on with using computers rather than being permanently at war with them.

Download this hypnosis track and play it to yourself a few times. It really can that simple to overcome your fear of computers.
