Gambling in moderation can be OK.

The trouble starts when moderation moves to excess.

When you get up and the first thing you think about is placing a bet. Or when anything and everything in your life seems to turn itself into an opportunity to gamble.

So how can you tell if you’re addicted to gambling?

For most people, the turning point comes when they just have to place a bet. Usually with bigger stakes than last time – because the odds must turn in their favor soon. Surely?

Unless you’re a bookmaker or a casino, chances are that you’ll lose money gambling. That’s just the nature of the beast. Bookmakers make their books “over round” and casinos have an edge. Online casinos take this even further by taking a rake on each game played, ensuring that they always win.

If you’re playing a game of skill, you can reduce that chance and there are people who make a living playing poker or betting on horses. But they are the exception, not the rule.

If your addiction is serious, you should take a look at Gamblers Anonymous. You can find a branch close to you with a simple search on the web.

If your addiction is mild, there’s a good chance you can overcome it with some help.

Talking to friends and family can help, if you’re able to admit to them that you’ve got a problem.

But there are times when that’s not feasible. Either their likely reaction isn’t one you want to face or there are other reasons that talking it out won’t work for you.

In these cases, it’s well worth taking a look at gambling addiction hypnosis.

This is completely anonymous. You can get a track with a simple download and play it to yourself to help change the way your mind thinks about gambling.

It’s also non-judgemental. The track doesn’t care how or why you came to be addicted to gambling. All it’s concerned with is helping you to get over your problem.

You can download a gambling addiction hypnosis MP3 here and start on your path to overcoming your gambling addiction.

If you have to take one or more pills on a regular basis, you’ll know that it seems nigh on impossible to remember to take your pills on a reliable schedule.

Even just one or two can be awkward to remember. But once the number increases, life gets more complicated than it should do.

Pills that you take first thing in the morning or last thing at night are usually fairly easy to remember – putting them on your bedside table near your watch or your glasses or contacts works fairly well. Except on those days where your mind starts racing as it tries to remember whether or not you’ve swallowed today’s tablet.

Other pills need to be taken at different times. Maybe with a meal. Maybe half an hour before or after a meal. Maybe on an empty stomach. Or a full one.

So, unless you’re superhuman, how do you rise to the challenge of taking the right pills at the right times and in the correct quantity. Without missing anything and without inadvertently duplicating the dose.

You could buy a pill organizer – these are handy devices that you load up with a week’s supply of pills. Or, if your needs are more complicated, there are versions that are called “medi chests” that are designed to keep your medications organized for you, so you stand a higher chance of remembering to take all those different tablets that your doctor prescribed to keep you healthy.

If all that still doesn’t work and you find yourself with more pills left than you should have when your repeat prescription arrives then it’s time to think about using hypnosis to jog your memory as well.

This nifty hypnosis track is designed to help you to remember to take your medication on time, every time.

It’s designed to help you to remember to take your pills by helping you to reprogram your mind to work with you on remembering this important part of your life.

You can download a hypnosis track to help you remember to take your pills here.

Different diets seem to work better for different people. If you’ve ever gone on a diet because your friend lost pounds almost overnight but your weight has obstinately stayed the same, you’ll know what I mean.

Low carb diets are no different.

Some people get on well with them – gnawing away at all the meat and tucking into those fried breakfasts they’ve missed while trying out a low fat diet.

But there are times with low carb diets when you start craving carbs.

Maybe when you pass a bakery and the smell of hot, freshly baked bread wafts out under your nose.

Maybe when you’re asked if you’d like fries with your meal and you have to pluck up the courage to say “no” because you know you wouldn’t be able to just eat a handful of fries to stay within your carb limit for the day.

Often the critical time on a low carb diet comes a few days or weeks in.

You’ve got over the initial hurdle of having no carbs in your diet and you’re in the phase where you’re allowed a small amount of carbs.

But some of those forbidden carbs are starting to look decidedly tempting and you know that unless you get help, you’re going to start tucking into them sooner rather than later.

This kind of mindset change is where hypnosis is useful.

It will work with you to help keep your subconscious desire for carbs in check. Longer term, it can even help you get over the desires completely.

Check out this affordable hypnosis track to keep you on your low carb diet for instant help.

If your mind is always turning to negative thoughts then the chances are that you’re indulging in too much negative thinking.

The occasional negative thought is perfectly normal. But when you instinctively see the worst, blackest, side of anything and everything then it’s time to turn yourself around before your less than positive thoughts drag you further and further down.

So, what can you do to stop your negative thinking?

First off, it’s unlikely that you’ll turn yourself into an optimistic person overnight. There’s a good chance that you’ve turned negative thinking into an art form. So don’t beat yourself up every time you have a negative thought.

Instead, try to catch your thoughts most times and either stop them in their tracks or turn them round.

Some people find that wearing a rubber band around their wrist is a good reminder system. Every time they notice themselves having a negative thought, they snap the rubber band. Which helps your body to learn that negative thoughts equate with pain – your mind will soon learn to change track!

Flip your negative thoughts through 180 degrees.

Everything has an opposite – even your darkest, moodiest thoughts.

Have a bit of fun with your negative thoughts and turn them (maybe literally) upside down.

This may take a bit of practice. After all, it’s probably taken you years to hone your negative thoughts until they’re close to 100% negative.

But it’s do-able.

Maybe not every time at first. Especially if you’ve been the “glass half empty” kind of person for any length of time.

Another way of weaning yourself off negative thoughts is with hypnosis.

This can help to change your mind at a deep level – the same kind of level that your negative thoughts are wallowing around in.

It’s discreet – no-one else need know what you’re listening to on your headphones – and easy to use. Just download an MP3 file, burn it to CD or copy it to your iPod, and press “play”.

If you’ve watched shows like Most Haunted or some of Derren Brown’s performances such as the one where he used automatic writing to predict the winning UK lottery numbers, chances are you’ll have come across the idea of automatic writing.

The idea behind this is that you go into a trance-like state and let your hand “do it’s own thing”. You then do your best to interpret the resultant scribbles (that a 3 year old wouldn’t exactly be proud of) and see what predictions it contains.

So, since it’s fun, the question is how to do automatic writing?

You’re going to need to find a quiet place where you’re unlikely to be disturbed. The last thing you want while you’re letting your mind run free is people coming up to you and asking what you’re doing.

You’ll need to experiment to see where you get best results – some people like to use a table or desk, others prefer to rest a pad on their lap. As with most things in life, there’s no right or wrong method so feel free to experiment.

Then let yourself become totally relaxed and allow your thoughts to drift through your mind like a bunch of fluffy clouds.

It’s then time to let your hand meander across the pad in front of it. Don’t worry if it takes a few seconds or even minutes before anything starts to happen, especially if this is your first attempt at automatic writing. With practice your writing will start flowing more easily.

Then just let whatever flows from your hand through to your pad happen. Don’t force matters. Chill out and let the process take place.

Once the flow of automatic writing stops the fun begins!

You need to interpret it.

It will likely be quite messy – unless you’ve cheated – so you’ll need some patience to work out what the letters mean and how they can be interpreted.

If you need more help with automatic writing, take a look at this hypnosis track that will help get you in the right state of mind for best results.

You may or may not know that you grind your teeth.

Maybe someone close to you lets you know or – depending on how subtle your other half is at breaking this kind of news – your dentist will casually ask you if you often grind your teeth.

However you discover the problem, is there anything you can do to stop grinding your teeth?

The most drastic option is to wear a mouth guard at night (which is when most tooth grinding takes place). But this is likely to feel awkard, especially at first.

Chances are that your unconscious tooth gnashing is caused by something. Maybe you’re stressed. In which case it would be a good idea to identify the cause of that stress and try to either lessen it (not always easy, especially if the stress is work related) or overcome it.

Certain substances increase your stress. You can probably guess it’s the usual suspects: caffeine in drinks such as cola and coffee and, of course, alcohol. If you can, cut down on these items.

Gradually decrease your caffeine intake – better to do this than face the stress of going cold turkey on it. Drink it earlier in the day rather than later.

Alcohol is not as easy to relegate to earlier in the day. After all, you’ve likely got work to do. So you’ll need to work out a different strategy for that. Maybe weaker drinks or alternating an alcoholic drink with a non-alcoholic one.

Relaxation is good as well. This could take the form of listening to music you find relaxing. A nice warm bath before you go to bed. Or possibly yoga or meditation.

Another option is to listen to a custom-made hypnosis track. This will have the double benefit of relaxing you as well as helping your subconscious mind to adjust how it deals with the stresses and strains that are causing you to grind your teeth.

Binge eating.

When it seems like you’re re-enacting a scene from Monty Python’s movie “The Meaning of Life” and just can’t stop forcing more and more food into yourself.

It’s a frustrating situation – you know you shouldn’t binge eat but forces seemingly greater than you keep you at it…

There could be one or more reasons why you resort to food and start craving things like chocolates, candy bars, ice cream and the like.

Maybe you’ve been on what seems like a starvation diet for too long.

Maybe you’re stressed out and need some comfort food to lift your spirits.

Whatever the reason, you know deep down that binge eating isn’t the most sensible thing that you do in your life.

But you can’t stop yourself.

Which actually makes sense. Our bodies have been programmed over thousands of years to eat food while it’s plentiful, just in case there’s a famine lurking around the corner.

That’s still there, deep in our subconscious, even though our rational mind knows that there’s food almost everywhere you look.

Changing deepset mind patterns is where hypnosis comes into its own.

After all, if you could stop pigging out at every available opportunity, you’d almost certainly have done so already.

Using hypnosis to stop binge eating is easy: sit back (but not with a bowl of chips in front of you!) and listen. The suggestions played on the track will work with you at a deep level to reduce your tendency to raid the fridge at the slightest provocation.

It’s a remarkably effective treatment and – unlike liposuction or surgery – it’s very affordable. Probably less than the money you spent on your last impromptu feast. And it’s also discrete. No-one will know you’re using it unless you tell them.

At least not until you start wearing clothes you never thought would see the light of day again.

You can download a custom recorded stop binge eating hypnosis MP3 here.

Blaming other people for our own mistakes is something a lot of us are good at.

You didn’t get a good mark in that exam? It’s the teacher’s fault.

You didn’t get promoted at work? Your boss must have a grudge against you.

And so the cycle of blame goes on…

So what can you do to stop this vicious spiral of blaming other people?

Well, easy as it is to say and hard as it is to actually put into practice, you can start by taking responsibility for things.

Maybe starting small, so you get in the habit.

After all, the fact that most of the world isn’t well fed and is often fighting probably isn’t your fault.

But forgetting to take out the trash on the right day, now there’s something you shouldn’t really blame someone else for (unless he’s your husband and it’s his job of course!).

The blame culture gets everywhere.

Governments do it all the time.

So it’s easy to think we can do the same.

But this has a negative impact on the person you’re blaming. Oftentimes, the effect is bigger than you could imagine and may well lead to a breakdown in your friendship or relationship with them if you chip away at them too often.

You can start to reduce the number of times you blame other people for things that aren’t actually their fault by engaging your brain before your mouth.

Give yourself a few seconds pause before you let rip with the next exercise in blame.

Think it through – was it really 100% their fault? Or does at least some of the blame belong elsewhere?

Counting to ten under your breath will help.

Sure, there’ll be times when you still blame first and ask questions later. But you can work on those areas over time.

One of the best ways to do this work is by using a hypnosis MP3.

This is designed to work with you in your quest to stop blaming others all the time.

You can learn how to hypnotize free using books and “how to hypnotize” courses. Before you go down this route, you should check that the person training you has some proper hypnosis training – you need to make sure that the instructions you are giving your mind are the right ones!

Click here and scroll to the end of the page for a no obligation, free hypnosis course.

If you know where to look online, you can start to learn how to hypnotize free.

There are a number of tutorials and even some free courses that will introduce you to the basics of learning self hypnosis. You can also find free hypnosis scripts available for download and sometimes you will strike lucky and even find a free hypnosis mp3.

One thing you should keep in mind when you are searching online to learn how to hypnotize for free is to look at the qualifications of the hypnotist who wrote the items you are downloading. Remember to see what hypnosis training they have undertaken and the qualifications they received after they completed the training.

Hypnosis is perfectly safe but it still makes sense that you rely on someone who has undergone some training in hypnosis. After all, you wouldn’t let someone rewire your house unless they could prove that they were a qualified electrician. The same should go for a hypnotist who is talking direct to your mind!

When you are hypnotized, you will be in a trance-like state. Exactly what happens when you are under hypnosis will vary from session to session and from hypnotist to hypnotist. You are likely to be asked to close your eyes, which is why stage hypnotists say “sleep” to their subjects.

Despite what you may have been led to believe by watching stage hypnosis shows, you can’t do anything under hypnosis that you wouldn’t do if you weren’t hypnotized. The people on stage hypnosis shows have given themselves permission to act when they went up on the stage.

If you’re ready to explore how to hypnotize people in greater depth than you can find for free, check out this excellent self hypnosis course.

If you or (possibly even more annoying) someone close to you regularly talks in their sleep, what can you do?

Everyone talks in their sleep occasionally. Usually it’s a side effect of a particularly vivid dream or nightmare.

But when it turns from an occasional problem to something that happens near enough every night, it’s time to do something!

Try cutting down on things like alcohol and caffeine – these can disturb your sleep patterns.

Make sure that you’re getting enough sleep. Lack of sleep can make your sleep talking worse.

Make sure you are relaxed before you go to sleep. This can be anything from carrying out a simple meditation through to making sure that you don’t watch scary movies (or the news!) too close to sleeping.

If none of those cure your sleep talking, then it’s also worth investigating hypnosis.

Because hypnosis works at a deep level, it can help your unconscious mind to deal with your sleep talking problem.

Listening to the MP3 just before you go to sleep will help you to get a good night’s rest without chattering away whilst you sleep.
