How Can You Beat Your Procrastination
Procrastination: the art of putting off a decision for as long as possible, ideally forever.
Sometimes it’s good to procrastinate. Not every decision needs to be made immediately and quite a few decisions are better taken after you’ve slept on them overnight and re-examined them in the cold light of day.
But what can you do when most everything you do takes forever to make your mind up?
One way I’ve tackled my enthusiasm to procrastinate in the past is to do something immediately. I find that if I don’t give my mind a chance to think up reasons to procrastinate, I can sneak past its defenses and make a decision while it’s looking the other way.
The only trouble with that technique is that it’s difficult to use all the time. There are just too many decisions in the day and you’d be swamped with a sense of overwhelm if you treated everything you procrastinate about as 100% urgent.
So what’s the middle ground?
How can you beat your procrastination into submission once and for all? Rather than leaving so many things delayed or put off altogether that you start to stress yourself out…
Well, since procrastination is something brought on by your mind, it’s a good idea to address the problem by working on your mind.
Listening to a procrastination hypnosis track is a good start. You’ll start to train your mind that this time you actually mean to take action – soon, not days, weeks or months in the future.
It’s also simple to do. Set aside some quiet time to listen to the track and let the power of hypnosis do the “hard” work.
