Look out for events and open days near you as hypnotists the world over share their expertise and maybe even give out sample hypnosis sessions.

Using Hypnosis For Your New Years Resolutions

Another year.

Another batch of New Years resolutions.

How often have you made a resolution in the heat of the moment, only to realize a few days later that there’s no way you can stick to it without some form of outside help.

We all start the new year fresh. It’s really going to be different this time. Honest.

Then a few days later, we’re back in the old routine. Back at work. Back taking the kids to school. Whatever we’ve been doing, year in, year out, for what seems like forever.

So how can you make this year different?

Start by picking one or at most two resolutions.

Not some great big list, like Earl carries around.

Just one or at most two resolutions. So you can remember them. And stand a much better chance of sticking to them.

Next, announce your resolution to as many people as possible.

Tell friends and work colleagues.

Post it on Facebook.

Write about it on your blog.

Then, get help to keep it.

Most of us make our resolutions as breaking a habit we want rid of. Whether it’s carrying too much weight, quitting smoking, whatever.

One of the easiest ways to get help is with hypnosis.

You don’t need to book a session with a local hypnotist (although these are often excellent and can be tailored to your exact needs). Instead, you can act on impulse and download a hypnosis track like one of the hundreds of hypnosis MP3s in our store.

Using Hypnosis To Help Your New Years Resolutions

If you’re like most people, you make a bunch of New Years Resolutions every year.

And you’re probably also like most people in that by the end of January, your resolutions are dead and buried. Waiting to be remembered in a guilty moment in a few months time. And brought back to the life at the start of January next year.

Only to be ignored again.

How can you stop this unhelpful cycle of making promises to yourself and then promptly breaking them?

Start with some focus.

Instead of making tens or even hundreds of New Years resolutions, pick one.

That’s right, just one.

You’ll remember what it is, because there’s only one thing to remember.

So will everyone you tell about it.

Yup, broadcast your new years resolution to the world.

Tell your friends.

And enemies - for once, they might be useful. They’ll be the first to let you know you’ve strayed and wiping the gleeful smirk off their face will be an extra incentive to keep your resolution this year.

Write it on your blog.

Post a sticky note everywhere you look.

You shouldn’t be able to turn anywhere without being reminded of your new goal.

Then get extra help.

Buy a hypnosis MP3 from our store. There’s bound to be a relevant one there. They’re cheap and easy. Just play it on a regular basis.

The ideal is to play your helper track at least once a day. Make the time to do this by cutting out irrelevant things in your life like watching the television news (in the unlikely event of anything important happening, you’ll be told).

If you miss a day or slip from your task, don’t quit. Go back to it with new vigor.

If you could stick to the resolution without slipping, you’d already have done it. Treat these setbacks with the contempt they deserve and win out over them!

Overcoming Lethargy (assuming you can be bothered)

We all feel lethargic at times.

Usually, the feeling passes. It may take some time, but it usually goes.

What if your lethargic feeling wants to hang around? What do you do then?

You need to change your “state”. If your mind is feeling lethargic then you need to give it a wake up call.

One of the easiest ways to do this is with a hypnosis lethargy session.

Overcoming Envy

Envy.

One of the original deadly sins.

Trouble is, we’ve got so much nowadays to be envious about.

  • That brand new car in next door’s driveway.
  • The looks of the model in an advertisement.

But is being envious good for us? Most of the time, the answer is a resounding “no”.

Time Management Methods

There are a variety of time management methods on the market.

Some of them only really work if you’re organized in the first place. Things like diaries, whether they’re old fashioned paper ones or flashy computerized ones.

Ultimately, though, it’s probably worth working on your mind as well as these other methods.

Using Conversational Hypnosis

Words are powerful things.

We use them everywhere but don’t always pay heed to them.

One of the best ways of using hypnosis, especially on people who “can’t be hypnotized” is to slip it into everyday conversation.

Lots of people use conversational hypnosis without even knowing it.  If you were ever told when you were younger that you would “never be any good” at something, that’s a post hypnotic suggestion that your unconscious mind will act on.

We need to be especially conscious of this when we’re dealing with youngsters - they will often take our suggestions to heart.

When we’re older, we tend to assume that people in positions of authority know what they’re talking about. So when your doctor tells you that there’s nothing to worry about, that’s a good thing. But if they announce that you have an illness or other problem, it’s time to get a second opinion fast!

Get Back To Sleep With Hypnosis

You know the feeling. It’s the middle of the night and, for whatever reason, you’ve woken up.

All you need to do is get back to sleep.

Which is often easier said than done.

Your mind has woken up as well. And it has no intention of going back to sleep without a fight.

The trick is to distract your mind and let it quieten down for long enough to let you get back to that much needed sleep.

Fast Food Obesity

Depending on what you read and likely who sponsored the research, fast food does or does not contribute to obesity.

Unless you’re a saint, you probably eat fast food at least once in a while. Maybe more often. For some people, fast food is a fact of life.
