How To See The Funny Side of Things

Life is boring if you can never see the funny side of things. There’s a lot of truth in the proverb “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Sure, there are times when you need to take things seriously but there are definitely also times when you shouldn’t do that.

The trouble is as we get older we often lose our sense of humour. Some complete countries appear to have done this but we won’t go there!

Help To Speak up in Class

Not every child is a natural born extrovert, especially when it comes to speaking up in class. There’s a kind of deer in headlights moment when everything goes into slow motion and the confidence that your child shows in other areas ups and leaves them.

As a parent, you can’t be there as a kind-of guardian angel for your child. That would just look weird. So you need other ways to help your child adjust to the idea that they can speak up for themselves in class without being swallowed up by a giant hole in the ground!

The same can apply in later life – it’s not just children who are scared to speak out.

How To Turn Your Dreams Into Reality

Most of us fantasize about things every now and then (maybe more often!) but how can you turn the better dreams into reality? Whether they are ideas on your “bucket list” of things to do before you do or whether they are big goals that you want to achieve.

First off, you need to clarify what your dreams are. This usually means writing them down on paper and refining them until they become as close to reality as possible. A picture board works for a lot of people. Or compiling a series of pictures into a video is another good way of reinforcing your goal.So we’ll start with that and then move on to the next steps

What To Do If You Have An Addiction to Pornography?

It seems like pornography is getting more and more prevalent. With the internet, it’s just a click or two away wherever you are. If it seems that you’re spending every waking moment on sites like Red Tube and Porn Hub, does that mean you have an addiction to pornography? And if so, is there anything you can do about it?

Signs of Addiction to PornographyAddiction to pornography image

One of the first signs of being addicted to porn is when you instinctively browse to porn sites the moment you’re alone in a room. Of course, you’ll have another tab open in your browser, just in case you need to look “normal” when someone walks through the door. But, let’s face it, it’s easy to get distracted when you’re watching seemingly private scenesĀ  on your computer screen, even with the sound turned down.

Another sign is when you start to get unrealistic expectations about sex. Porn is like any other movie – it’s fiction. Girls don’t magically drop everything the moment you walk into the room, guys don’t perform for hours on end in every conceivable position, 3-somes (and more-somes) don’t happen every time as if by magic you want to have sex. But we do get our expectations set by watching these kind of clips too often. So another sign of having an addiction to pornography could be that you keep raising the bar in your sex life and keep wanting things to happen that would never have crossed most people’s minds a decade or two ago.

Deep down, you probably already know that you’re getting more addicted to watching porn at every possible moment.

But it’s not something you can often discuss in polite company.

Which is where hypnosis can come in handy. It’s discrete – much like those movies you’ve been watching – and works with you to reduce your porn addiction without anyone else knowing that you had a problem, much less that you’re dealing with it.

How To Stop Getting Distracted

You know what it’s like, you start something but you’re constantly getting distracted from it. Either by choice because you don’t really want to be doing whatever the something was in the first place or because the distractions are just plain more interesting than the project you’re supposed to be doing.

It’s a habit we often start at school, leaving homework until at least the very last minute.

Then we carry it forward into later life, allowing ourselves to get distracted rather than actually complete things.

The good news is that you’re not alone in doing this and also that there are ways out of the hole you keep digging yourself into…
